Critical Communications, LLC was formed by Michael “Tate” Barkley and Steve Bain in response to their clients’ needs for continuing education in the areas of fraud prevention, investigation and prosecution; improved communications; ethical workplace decision-making; employment and diversity issues; and professional speaking and communications skills.

Mr. Barkley has combined his experience as an Adjunct Professor of Communications at the University of Houston, teaching courses in Business and Professional Speaking, Communications Law and Ethics and The Basics of Persuasive Speaking, with Mr. Bain’s fraud and investigation experience, to create an educational resource for business and corporate clients of all sizes and backgrounds. Based on the latest research and trends in these areas, the seminars offered by Mr. Bain and Mr. Barkley are interactive and involve extensive question and answer sessions so that managers and employees alike get practical advice that they can apply immediately on a day-to-day basis.

We believe in taking a proactive approach, offering educational training seminars on how to prevent and avoid the situations that often lead to litigation. We believe the best way to represent a client is to prevent it from being sued by laying the groundwork for avoiding actions that can cause liability. Critical Communications, LLC offers seminars to companies of all sizes in a variety of fields, many of which are approved for continuing education credits.
